Jimboomba is expected to generate immense economic and residential growth over the next few years. Characterised as a modern town that provides essential services to wider rural communities within Southeast Queensland, Jimboomba’s small town-centre is expected to expand to the north and south to cater for retail and commercial pressures. With the majority of residents working within the trade, administrative, labour, machinery and sales industries, it is no surprise that rural communities flock to Jimboomba for all of their goods and services.

The area has well and truly exceeded local Government population expectations, with over 2,000 people moving to Jimboomba in the last five years alone. As development of the Greater Flagstone housing estate continues steadily, the Queensland Government expects that Jimboomba will become a major residential area and its facilities will continue to provide services for the outer lying regions once the new centres of Flagstone and Yarrabila become self-supporting.

With plans to create 1600 new jobs and at least 300 new residential dwellings within the town by 2026, Jimboomba is generating impressive growth in every aspect.

With five schools, a number of well-known sporting teams representing the local area, its own local newspaper and plenty of recreational activities to keep people of all ages entertained, Jimboomba is a popular area for people to raise their families in.
